When ageing Norfolk guesthouse owner, Jeremy Bolam’s distance running career was brought to a shuddering halt by a couple of dodgy knees, he decided to take up trail walking instead. But with a track record of entering some of the world’s most insane foot races, Jeremy was never going to make his first journey an easy one. After only two days practice in the Sussex Downs, Jeremy believed he was ready to take on the fearsome deserts and mountains of the 800 mile Arizona Trail and just two months after the last mile of the trail was completed, the trail virgin set out from the Mexican Border to attempt to walk to Utah on his own.
