Orkney: A Novel

If you have ever pondered the idea of reincarnation even idly, if you are interested in Medieval, 19th or 20th Century history, or if you have ever walked through a barn full of resting horses and enjoyed the calm atmosphere, this book is for you.

Four brothers die a sudden and violent death about 3000 years ago in Orkney, the northern islands of modern day Scotland. The experience resonates through time and draws them together repeatedly. As they traverse from Scotland, to Ireland and finally to Canada, they re-encounter each other and their lifetimes together both allow them to heal past wounds and also to inflict new ones.

As they walk through time, the brothers are accompanied by their unique love of horses. Horses have provided humankind with the ability to build our world using their strength, but as any horse owner will tell you, they also bring their emotional and psychological influence into our lives.

Follow the family through time as they work toward their eventual redemption. You won't regret it.
