We now know that to Jean Nicolets adventurous voyage in 1634 is due the discovery of the Straits of Mackinaw and Lake Michigan; and that Grosseilliers and Radisson dispute with Father Mesnard the title of discoverers of Lake Superior; but beyond the mention of these names there is nothing which demands the attention of the reviser.
