The big bad mouse is terribly strong
And his scaly tail is terribly long.
His eyes are like points of terrible fire
And his terrible whiskers are tougher than wire.

To Shenevall bothy it’s quite a trudge
But any fed us with pieces of fudge
The view of the mountain at dusk was nice
But when it got dark, we fell over, some of us twice
The bothy itself has an upstairs and a porch
But no electric lights so you’ll need a torch
We ate kedgeree which was tasty and hot
But stubbornly adherent to the side of the pot
To but some pudding, we hadn’t a chance
So we each made do with a fancy from France
There were cigars and whiskey beside the fire
So, at that time we asked the ladies to retire
We were delighted when Al decided to play
In a Bossa Nova style, Anarchy in the UK
Wood was collected on the tenth of March
It’s possible that some of it may have been larch
For the next meal I can hardly wait,
Haggis and neeps, alone on a plate.

I’m chasing the dream
The dawn’s chasing me
I’m off to the west
Where the hills meet the sea
I’m getting too old now
To climb all the bens
I’ll stick to the strolls
Stravaiging the glens
Of course there are some
Who say: “you can do it again
Your body is fine
It’s all in your brain”
