Neg Maron: Freedom Fighter is a historical novel about a twenty year period on St.Lucia, a Caribbean island. Contemporaneous with the United States fighting its war of independence from the British, escaped slaves on the island fought the British occupational forces that outnumbered them. The Freedom Fighters achieved the impossible, wresting their independence, from the British (even before Haiti's), although it was short-lived.
