The Mark of Zorro

This volume contains 4 novels, very representative of the ample collection of characters by writer Johnston Mcculley.

The Curse Of The Capistrano, later published as The Mark Of Zorro, is the first and better known novel that portraits ZORRO. The character has been featured in numerous books, films, television series, and other media. Zorro (Spanish for "fox") is the secret identity of Don Diego de la Vega, a Californian nobleman and master living in Los Angeles during the era of Spanish rule. This novel is the beginning of the story.

The Black Star & Black Star’s Campaign are two novels of his second most popular character from the pulps, "The Black Star", a criminal mastermind who is pursued by Roger Verbeck-Flagellum and Muggs, a millionaire bachelor and his ex-thug partner.;

The Spider Strain, is a novel of his third most famous character The Spider, another long running villain character, and considered by some a significant pulp supervillain. He was injured as a young man and used a wheelchair, but he used his mental abilities to run an international crime ring from his office, 'The Spider's Den'.
