Deep in the African plains lives a young giraffe, Kanuki. Kanuki, unlike the other giraffes, has a particularly short neck. Kanuki is grieved by this physical shortcoming and it affects her ability to live a life a fulfillment. One day Kanuki is met by a visitor, who shows her the wishing tree before bidding her one last piece of advice, “You must choose your own path.
