"Though I had just proudly announced to my husband, Bill, I was taking a break from cat rescue until our new home was built, the cat kingdom apparently had different plans for me. As Bill and I turned to walk back to our current home from our new home's freshly cleared lot, I heard a noise. On a hunch, I stopped and told Bill I'd catch up with him at home shortly. My hunch turned out to be correct, as I again heard the sound more clearly —a cat's meow. As the stray cat followed me home for a free meal, I thought to myself, "How in the world am I going to explain this cat to Bill? Didn't I just announce I was taking a cat rescue break?" I realized it was true...I really am a cat magnet!"
