John Hunter

In this short monograph the author has tried to tell the story of John Hunter in the setting of his period. Unlike his predecessor, Harvey, Hunter made no fundamental discovery but he changed the face of british medicine in the eighteenth century by the development of research in all its branches, and left behind him an abiding proof of his greatness in the Hunterian Museum of the Royal College of Surgeons in London.
