This is a hypothetical layer to demonstrate how user-created participatory map layers can be used for consultations and community mapping.
Suppose the (fictional) Arthur's Seat Users Association link has been awarded a grant to make access and safety improvements to the area. They can use this layer to collect feedback from stakeholders.
As the layer owner you can draw differently styled features that you would like to focus on. Click on a special feature to find out more.
Any stakeholders can draw more features to illustrate other issues or points of interest. Or comment on previously-submitted features. Click on an issue to find out more.
Issues can be accompanied by explanatory photographs.
When signed in, any stakeholders can comment or vote on pre-existing issues or create their own.
The layer creator defines the area in which users can draw features which helps to keep discussion focussed. Features cannot be drawn outside the boundary.
The layer creator also defines the default background map style. In this example an urban background has been used as a default.
